3 MINUTE READ ON GROWTH, BEING YOURSELF AND A MINDSET SHIFT.

Here is something to remind yourself, a quote that I loved and a question to ask yourself for this week…

Something to remind yourself…

If I would listen to Morgan Freeman reading a manual out loud I would already love it – his voice is soooo good – so this Gilmore Girls snippet of him actually saying something really deep is one of my all time favorites: “If someone prays for patience, do you think God gives them patience? Or does he gives them the opportunity to be patience? If they prayed for courage does God give them courage or does he give them opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for their family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other? Well, I gotta run. A lot of people to serve. Enjoy.”

I.

This is where the challenge of life lies: how do you deal with something bad in the best way possible? When you surrender to it, you will see that there are many opportunities in expected and unexpected, wanted, and unwanted changes. Every change brings lessons, wisdom and experience. And that is why people manage to find their greatest strength in their greatest misery. You can look at the problem,
but you can also decide to look at the opportunity for growth.

II.

The greatest challenges of our lives are also often the greatest opportunities to stand in our power and live more authentically. All those small obstacles and big low points may cause discomfort, sadness, stress, or anger, but they also help you achieve and experience new things, something you sometimes don’t realize until years later. Be grateful for all the shit that has come your way. It has shaken things up, allowing you to see more clearly what is important to you. It’s the perfect way to have that “aha moment” and see that you’ve been spending too much time and energy on the wrong things because you still had old issues to resolve. And it’s the perfect way to regain your focus and value yourself. Life doesn’t get easier; you just get wiser and stronger all the time.

A quote that I loved…

Be yourself. So that people looking for you can find you.

A question to ask yourself…

Instead of asking yourself ”What if I’m not good?” start asking yourself ”What if I am way better than I think I am?”. It changes EVERYTHING!

Have an amazing week!

Love,
Kelly
