3 MINUTE READ ON DISCIPLINE, BEING KIND AND SELF-LOVE

Here is something to remind yourself, a quote that I loved and a question to ask yourself for this week…

Something to remind yourself…

David Goggins puts it bluntly: “You get up. You don’t wanna go run? Go go run. You don’t wanna go swim? You go swim. You don’t wanna make your bed? You make your bed. You don’t wanna clean your house? You clean your house. You don’t wanna study? You f*cking study. That’s how you start to callous your mind. If you say you gonna wake up at 4:00 o’clock in the f*cking morning to go run wake up at 4:00 in the morning. It’s gonna suck. It’s not gonna be fun. Do somethings that sucks every single day of your life. That’s how you grow.

I.

At some point, you need to stop overthinking and just do. Your mood in the moment will rarely align with your goals. It’s human nature to want comfort over effort. But if you want to grow, you can’t wait for motivation to strike; you have to act despite how you feel.

Become the person who sticks to their goal, not their mood. In that moment of hesitation, when it’s easier to snooze the alarm, skip the workout, or procrastinate, you choose to show up anyway. That’s how you build mental resilience.

II.

The thing most people get all wrong when wanting to change something in their lifestyle is setting the bar way too high. They tell themselves they’ll hit the gym 5 days a week after years of no exercise or plan to meditate for an hour a day without ever trying a 3-minute session. Unrealistic goals that don’t fit into your daily life kill motivation and lead to giving up altogether. The key isn’t doing everything perfectly at once. It’s doing small, consistent actions that, over time, lead to big changes.

My most important tip: Don’t wait for motivation but instead build routines. Because motivation comes and goes but promises made to yourself and scheduled is something you can commit to. Once you schedule your gym session twice a week it doesn’t matter if you feel like it, you just get it done.

A quote that I loved…

You don’t need to do it perfectly. You just need to do it.

A question to ask yourself…

What’s one action you can take today to step closer to the person you want to be?
